EDGE PROFILES

Edge profiles

Edge profiles start with gentle cuts that protect the stone corners from chipping and make the appearance more aesthetic. For those seeking more luxurious solutions we also offer timelessly stylish ogee edges, whose S-shaped profile gives a premium appearance. In addition, edge treatments can change the look of the countertop, either making it thinner or, by adding extra elements, creating a massively impressive appearance while keeping the countertop as light as possible. A

- Straight edge polish with a top bevel up to 3 mm and a standard bevel on the bottom edge.

A2

- Straight edge polish with an edge radius of approximately 5 mm and a standard bevel on the bottom edge.

B

- A half-round profile with a radius of up to 15 mm on one edge. The bottom edge has a standard bevel.

B2

- Full round profile with a 15 mm radius on both the top and bottom edges. Creates a visually slimmer appearance.

E

- Used when a detail needs to be lightweight but appear massive, or when a visually thicker front edge of the stone is desired.

E2

- Used to create a massive effect in the stone. It is most commonly used on kitchen islands or the legs of the kitchen island to add a sense of bulk.

E10

- A profile designed to create a massive edge appearance, angled at 10 degrees.

C

- Similar to the A2 profile. The edge is processed both from the top and bottom, with the profile itself having a slight slope.

C2

- Visually thinner edge treatment. The minimal bevel on the front edge gives a classic and clean impression, while the bottom edge features a larger bevel at a 25-45 degree angle.

C3

- With a large 30-degree bevel on the underside. This edge treatment gives the product a visually thinner appearance, while the rounded front edge creates a soft impression. It’s well suited for large tables where the goal is to create the impression of a slender stone slab.

D2

- Used in transitions, for example in front of a fireplace stone panel.

F

- Gluing together two stones of the same or different thickness creates a more massive appearance. This is useful in situations where the weight of the detail is important – for example, on cruise ships.

Antique

- From the side, the antique edge forms an “S” shape. It is often the most complex edge offered by stone fabricators. This profile is used to achieve a more traditional look. This edge profile can only be made on 30 mm thick quartz and marble.

Antique 2

- From the side, the antique edge forms an “S” shape. It is often the most complex edge offered by stone fabricators. This profile is used to achieve a more traditional look. Compared to the Antique profile, the Antique 2 profile has a more concave radius. This edge profile can only be made on 30 mm thick quartz and marble.

X

- Front edge radius 15, transitioning into a straight edge. Only for 20 mm quartz and marble.
